After the noise est une installation composée de 17 peintures flottant dans les rues du village de Chromonastiri, à l'invitation du festival de musique Soundblossom. À l'origine réalisées en petit format à l'huile pastel, les peintures ont été imprimées sur de grands drapeaux afin de créer un dialogue avec l'environnement naturel et bâti du village historique, ses rues, ses couleurs et ses sons.
Les moments de création sont pour moi des moments où je choisis consciemment de prendre du recul par rapport à « l'extérieur » et de réfléchir à la façon dont le monde - avec ses beautés et ses souffrances - résonne « à l'intérieur », dans mon expérience. Ces moments sont nécessaires pour ne pas être menacée par les ténèbres que notre monde porte en lui et pour garder mon attention sur sa vivacité, son humanité, sa beauté. Ils me permettent de choisir comment je souhaite m'engager et contribuer à ce monde.
À une époque où les conflits et les guerres se multiplient, nous avons plus que jamais besoin de cultiver notre capacité collective à nous laisser toucher et émouvoir, sans succomber à la tentation de nous replier sur nous-mêmes. Nous devons collectivement nourrir notre relation avec le vivant, la nature et notre famille humaine. Car je suis convaincue que si nous trouvons la paix en nous, nous pouvons la répandre dans le monde extérieur.
Du monde intérieur au monde extérieur : c'est exactement le cheminement qu'ont suivi mes peintures pour flotter aujourd'hui dans les rues de Chromonastiri.

After the noise is an installation made of 17 paintings floating in the streets of the village of Chromonastiri on the invitation of the Soundblossom music festival. Originally in small formats and made with oil pastel, the paintings were printed on big flags to create a dialogue with the natural and built environment of the historical village, its streets, colours and sounds.
The moments of creation are for me moments where I consciously choose to take a step back from the "outside" and reflect on how the world - with its beauties and with its pains - resonate "inside", in my experience. These moments are necessary for me to not be threatened by the darknesses that our world carries and keep my attention on its liveliness, humanity, beauty. They allow me to choose how I wish to engage and contribute to this world.
In days where the conflicts and wars are multiplied, we more than ever need to cultivate our collective ability to let ourselves be affected and moved, without succumbing to the temptation to withdraw. We collectively need to nourish the relationship to the living, to the nature and our human family. For I am convinced that if we find the peace within, we can spread it in the outer world.
